Thanks to our amazing supporters, the announcement held at Maiden Alley Cinema on November 7th was a huge success. Surrounded by over 100 people (quite a challenge to fit in the lobby!), and following an outstanding introduction by Maurie McGarvey, Amanda officially kicked off her campaign. (Read the full text of Amanda and Maurie’s remarks.)

Such a turn-out at what we thought would be a pretty modest event brought to mind the words of none other than the late, great Irvin S. Cobb, “I would rather be born a homeless orphan in Paducah than duly certified twins anywhere else on earth.” Thanks again to all who were there.

In the coming year, Amanda will be speaking to many area clubs and organizations and working hard to earn the support of McCracken County voters. Please contact us if you’d like to schedule a time for Amanda to speak at your event or meeting or let us know if you’d be interested in hosting a small informal meet and greet in your home with your neighbors that she could attend.

We’ll be sharing information here on upcoming campaign events as well as background information of interest about Amanda. We appreciate you taking the time to visit our site, and if you are a McCracken County resident, we’d like to ask for your vote for Amanda Melton for Coroner in 2018.
